Penang, Malaysia in 48 Hours

When I think of Penang I think of sticky childhood holidays, hanging with the grandma and extended family however the most distinct ones are the food memories - all the rich and delectable flavours that were just so exciting to eat in each bite. We recently visited Penang for a bit of a whirlwind trip and every meal (a dozen meals a day still counts as a balanced diet right?) was highly appreciated by the both of us and kept us wanting more. We started the second half of our Santorini holiday at walking down to Ammoudi Bay. I must say it seemed like an endless set of stairs down toward the bay from the top of Oia! Just at the top of the the island off Oia, it's something that may be easily missed as you're exploring the magic of Oia, but it's always nice to get away from the famous cliffs of Santorini & get closer to the sea. Read on to see what else we did in Santorini!

Lake Bled, Slovenia in 48 Hours+

Lake Bled had always been one of our top places to go visit for the longest time and so we were so glad when everything aligned for us to go and visit Slovenia. Slovenia has probably been long one of the unassuming European countries to visit - it does border the more famous Italy, Austria and Croatia however don't underestimate what Slovenia has to offer - I'd say it's a real gem until everyone else stumbles upon it!

Ljubljana, Slovenia in 48 Hours

Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia and the often mispronounced city (correctly pronounced "Lyoob-lyah-nah") is a city small enough to really see and explore on foot but large enough for it to keep all who visit occupied and interested a weekend break, or as the start of a longer weekend! Read on to see what we got up to in the city (and also a day trip to Skocjan caves!)
